Position Summary:Lead work packages for piping design and layout with minimal supervision. Ensure code/spec compliance, perform intermediate calculationsDuties & Responsibilities:Design 3D area models (modules/units) including routing strategy, accessibility, and constructability.Prepare/approve piping isometrics, GA drawings, specialty items list, and MTOs with accuracy control.Perform pipe stress input coordination (nodes, boundary conditions) with stress engineers.Define support selection (standard vs. special), coordinate loads and interfaces with structural.Execute clash prevention via disciplined zoning, segregation, and corridor planning, track and close clashes.Validate line class/spec compliance and manage spec breaks and tie-ins.Review and integrate vendor drawings (nozzle orientation, access envelopes) into the 3D model.Lead model review sessions and drive resolution logs to closure.Develop Workfront plans for junior designers; perform QC reviews on their deliverables.Contribute to layout philosophies (maintenance, lifting, insulation, thermal growth, fireproofing).Support site queries with markupsand constructability clarifications.Assist in changing impact analysis and update affected deliverables.Qualifications Required:Bachelors in mechanical engineering.Solid understanding of ASME B31 codes, piping materials, and layout standards.5+ years of experience with consulting firmsStrong in E3D/PDMS or Smart 3D or Plant 3D; AutoCAD; Navisworks Manage/Simulate; MTO/extraction tools.Coaching juniors, problem-solving, stakeholder communication, planning
