We are hiring a Sourcing Specialist for our client who will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and managing subcontractors and suppliers supporting transportation operations, including heavy trucks, rig moves, clearance, and logistics services.The role ensures securing reliable vendors with the best pricing, payment terms, and service quality, while maintaining smooth execution of operations and timely delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and source qualified subcontractors and suppliers for:Heavy trucks (lowbed, flatbed, tanker, etc.)Light vehiclesRig move servicesEquipment rentalCustoms clearance and logistics supportConduct continuous market research to expand the supplier network and find specialized vendors for different project requirements.Negotiate competitive rates, payment terms, and contracts to achieve cost efficiency while maintaining service quality.Compare quotations and ensure selecting the most suitable vendors based on:PriceQualityAvailabilityReliabilityCoordinate closely with the operations team to understand daily and project-based requirements.Ensure timely mobilization of subcontractors and availability of required equipment/vehicles.Follow up with subcontractors to ensure:On-time dispatchProper executionNo operational delays or issuesMonitor supplier performance and take corrective actions when needed.Manage supplier accounts in coordination with finance:Verify invoicesEnsure alignment with agreed ratesFollow up on payments based on agreed termsResolve any operational or commercial issues with suppliers efficiently.Maintain an updated database of all subcontractors and suppliers, including:RatesContractsQualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.2–5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or operations within:TransportationLogisticsOil & Gas services (preferred)Strong understanding of trucking operations, rig moves, and logistics services.SkillsStrong negotiation and cost optimization skillsExcellent communication and supplier handlingAbility to work under pressure and handle urgent operationsStrong follow-up and problem-solving skillsGood knowledge of the local market (transporters, suppliers, clearance agents)Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reportingKPIs (Key Performance Indicators)Cost savings achieved vs. market ratesAvailability of trucks/equipment on timeSupplier performance & reliabilityNumber of qualified suppliers added to the databaseOn-time execution rate of operationsReduction in operational issues related to suppliersWorking NatureFast-paced operational environmentRequires availability and quick response for urgent transportation requestsContinuous coordination with operations, finance, and external vendors
