The Technical Office MEP Engineer is responsible for managing and supporting all engineering and technical aspects of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works throughout the project lifecycle. This role focuses on ensuring that all MEP designs, drawings, and documentation are accurate, coordinated, and aligned with project specifications, contract requirements, and applicable codes and standards.The engineer serves as a liaison among design consultants, site execution teams, procurement, and project management to ensure smooth technical coordination and the timely resolution of design and construction issues. The role includes reviewing design documents, preparing shop and as-built drawings, developing material and technical submittals, and responding to technical queries (RFIs).Additionally, the Technical Office MEP Engineer contributes to project planning and cost control by supporting quantity take-offs, reviewing BOQs, and participating in value engineering to optimize system performance and cost efficiency. The position also ensures that all MEP works are properly documented, approved, and executed in line with quality standards and project timelines.The role requires strong attention to detail, coordination across multiple disciplines, and the ability to manage technical documentation while supporting on-site teams with practical engineering solutions.SkillsKey Responsibilities:Review MEP drawings, specifications, and BOQs.Prepare shop drawings, as-built drawings, and technical submittals.Coordinate between design, site, and other disciplines (civil/architectural).Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and project requirements.Handle material submittals and approvals.Assist in project planning, cost estimation, and value engineering.Respond to RFIs (Requests for Information) and technical queries.Monitor project progress and provide technical support to site teams.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.3–7 years of experience in MEP technical office or construction projects.Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software (Revit is a plus).Good knowledge of international codes and standards.Strong coordination and communication skills.
