Tunnel Design Engineer Section Head.Location: Head Office.Hassan Allam Construction is looking for an experienced Tunnel Design Engineer Section Head to join our Engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale infrastructure projects, leading the design and coordination of complex tunnels and underground structures.Key Responsibilities:Lead the design and technical delivery of tunnel and underground infrastructure projects from concept through detailed design.Develop structural and geotechnical designs for tunnels, shafts, portals, retaining structures, and associated underground facilities.Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including geotechnical, structural, roads, utilities, rail, and MEP disciplines.Review geotechnical investigation reports and ensure appropriate integration into the design.Prepare and review design calculations, technical reports, specifications, drawings, and BOQs.Conduct design reviews, value engineering studies, constructability assessments, and risk evaluations.Provide technical leadership during project execution and support construction activities by reviewing technical submissions and resolving engineering issues.Ensure compliance with international design codes, client requirements, and company quality standards.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.Master's Degree in Tunnel Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline is required.Minimum 12 years of experience in the design of tunnels and underground infrastructure projects.Proven experience in major infrastructure projects, including metro, railway, highway, utility, or water conveyance tunnels.Experience with tunnel construction methodologies such as TBM, NATM, Cut-and-Cover, and Drill & Blast is a MUSTTechnical Skills:Experience with one or more of the following is preferred:PLAXIS 2D/3DMIDAS GTS NXRocscience SoftwareSAP2000 / ETABSAutoCADCivil 3DBentley OpenTunnelRevit and BIM coordination platformsWhat We're Looking For:Strong technical leadership and engineering judgment.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary design teams.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions on complex projects
