The RoleThe Accounting Manager, who will report to the Head of Finance - Savills Egypt, will be supporting in the end to end management of corporate finance affairs in Egypt, ensuring commercial and governance health of the business at all times, driving efficiencies in systems to maximise profitability, ensuring acceptable levels of internal control, and compliance with all regulations and policies and procedures.Key Responsibilities Support in ensuring effective financial controls and compliance with local regulations. Provide financial insights and analysis to support commercial decision-making and long-term planning for Egypt. Collaborate with local business partners and stakeholders to achieve financial goals and ensure seamless operations. Work closely with HR to manage payroll and the Remco process in coordination with the central team. Oversee financial reporting, including monthly, half-year, and full-year results, ensuring compliance with corporate timelines. Ensure compliance with group policies, local tax laws, and governance requirements within Egypt. Assist in enhancing operational efficiencies. Support in monitoring cash flow and treasury activities, ensuring effective liquidity management specific to Egypt's operations. Liaise with Group legal and risk management teams on local legal documents and ensure adherence to risk management protocols. Ensure accurate and timely submission of local tax returns and filings to Egyptian tax authorities. Support operational teams with technical finance issues, including direct and indirect tax matters in Egypt. Assist in the internal and external audit processes for Egypt, implementing improvements based on audit findings. Contribute to the ESG agenda, ensuring compliance with governance and sustainability objectives for Egypt.Manage Egypt’s Risk & Compliance function, maintaining the corporate risk register in alignment with local regulatory standards.Skills, Knowledge And Experience Bachelors degree level in a Finance/Accounting discipline Must hold professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CA or equivalent Minimum of 10+ years of working experience in a corporate finance position within a fast-moving and dynamic business environment Experience in Professional Services or Real Estate industry preferred Arabic speaking candidates is considered a must Ability to influence a cross-functional team and senior business leadership as well as stakeholders in a unified direction and with a common vision Highly effective in handling multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines, be results and detail oriented Possess exceptionally good problem-solving skills and have an ability to remain calm and composed during times of uncertainty and stress Advanced technical mastery of both International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Egyptian Accounting Standards (EAS / Egyptian GAAP). Operate in both a Microsoft Office Suite and G-Suite Environment at Advanced level Financial planning and reporting experience required with superior knowledge in P&L, BS, and Cash Flow modelling Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with solid business and financial acumen Excellent knowledge of accruals implementations Strong leadership skills and track record of team management Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Articulate, presentable, diplomatic and highly discreetTrack record of trusted business partneringOver 42,000 people work for us in more than 700 offices all over the world.
