We're Hiring: Applied AI / LLM Engineer V-ALUE Business Planning & Consulting 📍 On-site — Cairo, Egypt | Full-timeAbout the role V-ALUE is a business consulting and technology firm with 14+ years of work across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the Gulf, and Africa. Alongside the consulting work we're known for, we're building AI-powered products — both to sharpen how we work internally and to deliver as solutions for our clients.We're looking for an Applied AI / LLM Engineer to lead the design and build of these systems from the ground up. This is a hands-on engineering role, not a research one — you'll ship production AI features on top of modern foundation models, not write papers or train models from scratch.You'll also help bring our existing software team (backend, frontend, mobile) up to speed on applied AI — so this role suits someone who can build and teach.What you'll doDesign and build RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems grounded in structured domain knowledge, methodologies, and templates.Build pipelines for document ingestion, parsing, embeddings, and vector search over large bodies of business and technical content.Engineer high-quality prompts and orchestration logic for consistent, reliable, domain-specific outputs.Integrate AI features into our software products — both internal tools and client-facing solutions — via APIs and modern LLM tooling.Judge where models fall short and pick the right fix: better retrieval, better prompting, or fine-tuning when (and only when) it's justified.Mentor our engineering team in applied AI — a defined responsibility with dedicated time, so the team can maintain and extend these systems independently.What we're looking forMust-haves:Demonstrable hands-on experience building RAG systems in production — not just tutorials or demos.Solid software engineering fundamentals (Python preferred) and experience with LLM APIs.Practical experience with embeddings, vector databases, and retrieval pipelines.Strong prompt engineering and orchestration skills.The ability to explain technical concepts clearly and bring a non-AI team alongNice-to-have:Experience with fine-tuning — and the judgment to know when it's needed and when it isn't.Experience with Arabic-language NLP or Arabic content.Exposure to evaluation frameworks for LLM outputs.Who will thrive here You're a builder who ships real things over perfecting theory.
