We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Vice President – Data Governance to support and lead key data governance initiatives across the bank. The candidate will be responsible for identifying and managing data domains and critical data elements, creating and maintaining the Business Glossary and Data Catalog, assessing and operationalizing technical metadata harvesting, and preparing data lineage in alignment with data management standards and policies.The role involves close collaboration with technology leads, business analysts, data owners, and stewards to enhance and maintain the data catalog, policy and standards library, and end-to-end data lineage. The candidate will also play a key role in embedding data governance culture into business-enabled processes.This position leads interactions with technology stakeholders, business data owners, and report content owners to ensure clearly defined data asset ownership, usage policies, and certified, compliant metadata.Additionally, the role includes responsibility for developing and refining data governance program standards and processes related to metadata and reference data management. The AVP will promote data accountability, ensure regulatory and geographic compliance, and track governance effectiveness through scorecards and status reports.
