Business Development Team Leader

As a business development team leader, you will manage & direct business development activities locally and internationally by identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities that maximize the company’s profits, market share, and strategic growth. The role is responsible for guiding the business development team, strengthening client relationships, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and successful opportunity conversion.Key Responsibilities:Lead the business development team in identifying, approaching, and pursuing new business opportunities locally and internationally to support the company’s growth objectives.Act as the main focal point between the company and key clients to ensure alignment of information, strong customer relationships, and high service quality.Develop and implement business development plans, target market strategies, and client engagement approaches to expand the company’s market presence.Identify potential markets, clients, sectors, and partnerships, and guide the team in building and maintaining business opportunity pipelines.Arrange and lead meetings, presentations, and business development discussions with clients, and communicate the required actions to internal stakeholders.Supervise the handling of Requests for Proposal (RFPs), including clients’ inquiries, requests, clarifications, and documentation, to ensure timely and effective responses.Coordinate with the Tender department and relevant internal teams to ensure proper preparation, review, and submission of financial and technical tender documents.Oversee the preparation and submission of commercial and technical proposals, ensuring all client requirements are addressed accurately and competitively.Monitor market trends, competitors’ activities, client needs, and industry developments, and initiate market research studies to identify growth opportunities and business risks.Guide and support the team in managing Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes between clients and the Tender department to ensure smooth communication and coordination.Review tender schedules, pipeline updates, and submission plans on a periodic basis to maintain efficient workload distribution and timely proposal delivery.Provide business development reports, pipeline analyses, forecasts, and statistical status updates for management review and decision-making.Conduct or assign site visits during the tendering or opportunity assessment phase to verify project conditions and support opportunity evaluation.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, partners, and stakeholders to enhance business opportunities and long-term collaboration.Support negotiations related to proposals, commercial offers, and service discussions to help secure new business under favorable conditions.Ensure that customer feedback, market intelligence, and business opportunity data are properly documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders.Guide, mentor, and monitor the performance of business development engineers and support their professional development and effectiveness.Contribute to the continuous improvement of business development processes, reporting tools, customer approach methods, and opportunity management practices.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field.7+ years of experience in business development, tendering, sales, or construction-related field, including experience in leading teams or coordinating business development activities.Business Development certificate is a plus.Business Writing skills is a plus.Project Management certification is a plus.At Rowad Modern Engineering, we provide equal opportunities to all regardless of race, colour, ancestry, religion, national origin, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, or gender identity. we do not just hire Talents-We invest in potential.
