Job Purpose: The job holder will support the project’s research outputs and contribute to bilingual, Arabic and English, knowledge dissemination in accordance with the Project’s strategic plan.Core Responsibilities:● Editing and Proofreading: Edit, proofread, and review policy papers, reports, articles andcommentaries under the supervision of the research manager and principal investigator● Translation and Language Support: Translate documents and posts between Arabic and English, ensuring linguistic accuracy and cultural sensitivity● Transcription: Transcribe interviews and podcasts to support research outputs and archiving● Public Communication: Support preparation and review of public calls, posts, and event materials, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and bilingual accessibility● Event Support: Assist the research team with translation and editing for seminars, workshops, and events● Collaboration: Work closely with the research team to align editorial and translation outputs with project goals● General Support: Perform other related duties as assignedQualifications:Education and Experience:● Bachelor’s degree in social and political sciences or other relevant fields in the humanities● Professional degree in editing and translation is a plus● A minimum of five years of professional experience, with three years in professional editing● Experience in editorial services and institutionsSkills:● Organizational: Good time management, ability to manage a complex workload and work to tight deadlines● Communication: Good verbal and written communication with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff● Language Proficiency: Excellent command of Arabic and English● Knowledge of French is highly desirable● Teamwork and Interpersonal Skills: High teamwork skills and excellent interpersonal andnetworking skillsThis position is open until April 30, 2026Placement is based on the candidate’s experience and skills.
