Job SummaryThe Senior Document Controller is responsible for managing, controlling, distributing, and maintaining all project documentation in accordance with company procedures and project requirements. The role ensures accurate document flow between clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and internal departments while maintaining document integrity, confidentiality, and traceability throughout the project lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesDocument Control ManagementEstablish and maintain document control procedures and workflows.Manage the receipt, registration, distribution, tracking, filing, and archiving of project documents.Maintain document control registers, logs, and databases.Ensure all project documents are correctly numbered, classified, and stored.Project DocumentationControl engineering drawings, specifications, method statements, RFIs, submittals, technical reports, and correspondence.Monitor document revisions and ensure only the latest approved versions are distributed.Track document status and follow up on overdue submissions and approvals.Coordinate document submissions between contractors, consultants, and clients.Quality and ComplianceEnsure compliance with ISO standards and company document control procedures.Perform periodic audits of project documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.Maintain document retention and archiving systems in accordance with company policies.Reporting and CoordinationGenerate regular reports on document status, outstanding approvals, and project documentation KPIs.Support project teams in retrieving and managing project records.Coordinate with engineering, procurement, planning, quality, and construction teams regarding document requirements.Team LeadershipSupervise and mentor junior document controllers and administrative staff.Provide training on document management systems and procedures.Ensure consistency and efficiency across document control activities.QualificationsBachelor's degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Management, or a related field.Professional certification in Document Control or Records Management is an advantage.ExperienceMinimum 7–10 years of document control experience in construction, infrastructure, or engineering projects.At least 3 years in a senior or supervisory document control role.Experience working on large-scale construction projects.
