Our business is managed on a segment basis, with those segments being Automotive, Industrial, and Interface.Job PurposeDevelop capability of people and process to eliminate waste, provide flow and maximize value through the application of Methode Production System (MPS)Manufacturing ProcessesMetal cutting and FormingInjection MoldingSurface Painting and CoatingAssembly and sub-assembly linesKey ResponsibilitiesMap current state value streams for assembly lines, cells, and material flowIdentify and eliminate wastesConduct time studies, line balancing, and takt time analysis to meet customer demandLead Kaizen events and improvement workshops on the shop floor.Conduct SMED Activities to reduce changeover time for tools, dies and materialImplement 5S, standardized work, visual management, and error-proofing/Poka-YokeDesign and optimize one-piece flow, pull systems/KanbanDrive cost-out projects through labor reduction, automation, and process redesignDrive Quality Improvement projects by applying RCA / structured problem-solving tools (8D, A3, QRQC)Support APQP, PPAP, and launch activities for new models/platformsCoach Engineers, supervisors, team leaders, and operators on the application of lean toolsSupport new product launches and line transfers between plantsLead layout improvement projectsEducation and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Mechanical Design and production , Manufacturing Engineering or similar.Minimum 8-10 years in manufacturing, ideally in automotive industrySkills:Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.Simulation tool for layout design.Data analysis in Excel, Minitab, Power BIKnowledge of IATF 16949, APQP, FMEA, Control PlansHands-on, comfortable on the shop floorStrong facilitationAble to influence without authorityData-driven but practicalTypical Work EnvironmentMost of your time is on the plant floor, not behind a desk.Expect PPE, noise, shift overlap, and frequent interaction with operators.Multi-plant projects are common.
