The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and reliability of all machinery, equipment, utilities, and production systems within the facility. The role includes preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, improving equipment efficiency, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards to minimize downtime and support continuous production operations.Maintenance OperationsPerform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities for all plant machinery and equipment.Monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues before breakdowns occur.Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults and implement effective solutions.Ensure all maintenance activities are completed efficiently and within planned schedules.Coordinate emergency repairs to minimize production downtime.Equipment & Facility ManagementInspect machinery, utilities, and facility systems regularly to ensure operational efficiency.Maintain production lines, motors, pumps, compressors, conveyors, generators, HVAC systems, and other industrial equipment.Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.Ensure proper calibration and functionality of machines and instruments.Planning & DocumentationDevelop and implement preventive maintenance plans and schedules.Maintain maintenance records, reports, spare parts inventory, and technical documentation.Prepare breakdown analysis reports and recommend corrective actions.Monitor spare parts consumption and coordinate procurement requirements when needed.Health, Safety & ComplianceEnsure all maintenance activities comply with company safety procedures and regulations.Conduct routine safety inspections and support implementation of corrective actions.Ensure proper use of tools, PPE, and maintenance procedures by all technicians and contractors.Support compliance with quality standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.Team CoordinationSupervise and support maintenance technicians and external contractors when required.Coordinate with production and operations teams to schedule maintenance activities with minimal operational disruption.Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance staff when necessary.Continuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and operational performance.Participate in process improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.Recommend upgrades or modifications to improve machinery performance and reduce maintenance costs.
