The Service Center Engineer is responsible for overseeing inspection, maintenance, repair, testing, and technical support activities within the service center. The role ensures efficient operation of all technical services while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. The engineer is also responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, coordinating repairs, and ensuring equipment readiness and operational reliability.Technical Maintenance & RepairsDiagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational issues in equipment and machinery.Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities according to approved procedures.Conduct testing, calibration, and performance checks on serviced equipment.Ensure all maintenance and repair activities are completed efficiently and within required timelines.Verify equipment functionality and quality standards before release or delivery.Service Center OperationsReceive and inspect incoming equipment and prepare technical assessments.Coordinate repair schedules and prioritize urgent maintenance requirements.Monitor workshop operations and ensure smooth workflow within the service center.Supervise installation, dismantling, and assembly activities when required.Ensure tools, testing equipment, and workshop machinery are properly maintained.Customer & Technical SupportProvide technical assistance and support to clients regarding equipment operation and maintenance.Prepare technical reports, repair recommendations, and service findings.Communicate repair progress and technical updates to management and clients.Support customer satisfaction through professional handling of technical issues and service requests.Documentation & ReportingMaintain accurate service records, maintenance reports, inspection documents, and equipment history.Track spare parts usage and coordinate inventory requirements with procurement or stores departments.Prepare breakdown analysis reports and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.Ensure all technical documentation is properly updated and archived.Health, Safety & Quality ComplianceEnsure compliance with company safety procedures, operational standards, and quality requirements.Maintain safe handling practices for equipment, tools, and testing devices.Conduct regular inspections to ensure workshop safety and operational efficiency.Support implementation of continuous improvement and quality assurance initiatives.Continuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities to improve service efficiency, equipment reliability, and maintenance procedures.Recommend technical upgrades or process improvements to enhance operational performance.Participate in technical training and development activities to remain updated on industry standards and technologies.
