Purpose: The job holder will lead the technical support of all audio-visual and digital services of events for AUC Tahrir Square Campus, ensuring the effective delivery of all technology solutions for all events and activities, including festivals, performances, and productions. The role combines hands-on technical expertise with on-ground coordination to ensure all technical requirements are delivered efficiently and to a professional standard. The role has a dual reporting role to AUC Tahrir Operations and IT in New Cairo.Responsibilities:Event Setup and Technical Execution: Manage the physical setup and technical operation of audio-visual (AV) equipment for the University events, including sound systems, lighting, and projectionManaging Teams: Manage a large-scale event operations team, ensuring the efficient and simultaneous execution of multiple concurrent eventsManaging Vendors: Source, onboard, and manage external vendors for event setup and logistics, overseeing the entire event lifecycle from planning to completionVideo Conferencing and Streaming Support: Operate and monitor specialized equipment for video or web conferencing and digital media streamingInventory Tracking and Equipment Maintenance: Maintain an accurate and detailed inventory of all related technical assets, including microphones, cameras, and cablesOperational Reporting and Documentation: Support the administrative functions of the unit by logging service requests and equipment usageInternal Coordination: Act as the technical focal point, receiving event requirements from programming and other internal stakeholders and translating them into technical plansLiaise with relevant internal teams to support technical readiness in line with event needs, participating in pre-event briefings and ensuring all technical timelines are aligned with overall event schedulesEnsure close coordination and best practices with the central IT function in New CairoGeneral Administrative Support: Perform other related duties as requestedQualifications and Skills:Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree, preferably technical field, is requiredMinimum 10 years in a technical support service roleTechnical Skills:Communication skills: Proficient in the operation of professional sound consoles, stage lighting, and video conferencing hardwareStrong problem-solving skills under pressure, excellent customer service orientation.Interpersonal skills: Able to communicate technical information clearly to faculty, staff, and external guests in both English and Arabic This position is open till May 10, 2026.Placement is based on the candidate’s experience and skills.
