Reports to: Dean of Libraries and Learning TechnologiesPurpose: The job holder will support the dean in initiatives that enhance the visibility, innovation, and outreach of the Libraries and Learning Technologies (LLT). The position works collaboratively with internal library teams, the dean’s office, and University communications to ensure that all outreach efforts reflect the library’s priorities, showcase its services and impact, and strengthen its role within and beyond the University community.Responsibilities:Library Tours and Public Engagement: Plan, deliver, and maintain customized in-person and virtual library tours in both Arabic and English, tailoring content for diverse audiences and collaborating to ensure accuracy and accessibilityMarketing: Promote library tours and virtual experiences through various channels, develop and update online user resources, and create compelling displays and exhibits showcasing LLT services and impactRegional Training Program Development: Collaborate with the dean and library units to conceptualize and design professional training programs for external library professionals in the region, including needs assessments, market research, and proposal developmentAdministrative Support: Assist the dean with impactful presentations, reports, and communication materials for internal and external audiencesLibrary Emerging Trend Exploration: Conduct in-depth research on global library trends, best practices, and opportunities within professional associations and peer institutions to inform the deanAdditional Related Duties: Perform other related duties as assignedRequirements:Minimum Education Requirements:Master’s degree is preferredExperience:Minimum of 10 years of professional experienceExperience in developing proposals, conducting needs assessments, and overseeing implementationSkills:Leadership: Excellent supervisory and organizational skillsCommunication and Presentation Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skillsAbility to present information clearly to diverse audiencesCultural Awareness: Cultural sensitivity and awareness when dealing with regional and international visitorsMultitasking: Able to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detailCrisis Management: Highly effective in crisis situations, collaborating well under pressureTechnical Skills: Basic graphic design and multimedia editingCompetence in managing web content and digital outreach channelsMarket Research: Ability to conduct market research and benchmarkingThis position is open until May 10, 2026Placement is based on the candidate’s experience and skills.
