O&M Director

Job Summary:We are looking for an experienced O&M Director to lead the end-to-end delivery of utilities operations across electricity distribution, water networks, and smart metering services.This is a strategic leadership role responsible for ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, service continuity, and performance optimization across multiple sites and service contracts.Key ResponsibilitiesLead O&M strategy and execution for electricity, water, and metering operations across assigned regions/sites.Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, HSE standards, and service-level agreements (SLAs).Drive operational performance, asset reliability, and service continuity through preventive and corrective maintenance programs.Lead smart metering operations including installation, commissioning, testing, and system integration support.Manage operational budgets, cost optimization initiatives, and resource planning.Oversee contractors and third-party service providers to ensure quality, safety, and performance delivery.Lead and develop high-performing technical teams (O&M Managers, Engineers, Supervisors, Technicians).Implement continuous improvement initiatives, digitalization, and operational transformation programs.Ensure strong coordination with Engineering, Projects, Customer Service, Finance, and Supply Chain functions.Prepare executive-level reports, operational dashboards, and performance reviews for senior leadership.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s is a plus).Minimum 17 years of experience, including at least 5 years in a management or area-level role in Utilities or O&M operations.Proven experience in power generation, substations, water/wastewater treatment, or electricity distribution and/or water utilities operations.Strong technical knowledge of utility systems operation and maintenance best practices.Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams across multiple sites.Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.Fluent in English (spoken and written).If interested, please send your updated resume in a PDF format to: Jobs.Utilities@madkour.com.eg mentioning the job title in the e-mail subject.
