Lafarge Egypt continuously seeks to meet the needs of a wide range of customers including but not limited to individual homebuilders, large construction companies, architects, or local artisans, powered by 1500 passionate employees.Overview:Leading the QC KPIs, specifications analysis, and Quality Plan implementation for a big size project plant or a big size commercial plant with an annual production budget of more than 100Km3. In addition to managing the mix design platform and automation (FireQ) activities at the plant level. The job holder should also contribute in the QIP be leading 1-2 quality improvement projects per year and be responsible of their results.This should lead to a continuous tracking and improvement for the QC KPIs, unlocking of optimization and improvement opportunities, demonstrating competitive edge and hence increasing revenues whilst reducing cost of poor quality.Responsibilities:1-Health & Safety:Adhere to and enforce relevant legislation and policies and ensure that highest degree of safety and safe working practices are maintained.2-Functional:Review and analyze project specifications assigned to the plant to ensure compliance with technical and quality requirements.Support the Commercial Team by preparing technical proposals, mix designs, and pricing-related data under the supervision of the direct manager (N+1).Lead automation activities and manage the mix design platform at the plant level to improve operational efficiency and accuracy.Manage quality records, analyze quality control key performance indicators (KPIs), and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Lead cost optimization initiatives for concrete mixes in line with the plant’s budget targets.Ensure effective implementation and compliance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) at the plant level.Lead the implementation and standardization of all Quality Control procedures across plant operations.Supervise, guide, and coordinate the Quality Control team, ensuring proper deployment and performance management.Develop and oversee the calibration plan for plant machinery and laboratory/testing equipment.Ensure truck mixer uniformity and compliance with National Ready Mixed Concrete Association ( NRMCA ) standards and checklists.Ensures that all active concrete mixes are in use at the correct yield and performance parameters.Lead customer complaint investigations and closure processes, while supporting claims management under the supervision of the direct manager (N+1).Ensure all raw materials are sourced from approved suppliers and compliant sources.Participate in sourcing activities and conduct quarry visits at the plant to evaluate raw material quality and supplier performance.Lead Quality Control demonstrations and ensure readiness for internal and external audits.Drive initiatives to reduce rejection rates and improve product conformity at the plant level.Lead and implement assigned Quality Control Improvement (QCI) projects to enhance operational and product performance.Education, Qualifications & Experience:Education:Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Preferably) OR Bachelor’s in Chemistry/ Geology.Technical Skills:Experience in concrete & concrete Materials testing.Excellent knowledge of local & international standard codes, Concrete technology, raw materials.High Inspection & Analytical skills.Experience:1-3 years for civil engineers.3+ years for chemists/geologists with concrete experience.WHO ARE LAFARGE PEOPLE?Lafarge people are passionate about finding better ways to build.
