SAP Basis Consultant

Job Purpose:Should be the system administrator for SAP environments from SAP R/3 to SAP S/4HANA, ensuring that all SAP systems in the environment will run smoothly and consistently.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Design and Develop SAP Architecture requirements and specifications to ensure the system is meeting the corporate needs. Install, configure, maintain, migrate or upgrade the SAP systems as required. Look into and troubleshoot SAP Basis related issues. Perform regular maintenance and performance tuning for Database and SAP systems. Support/perform SAP Basis Administration activities such as ID creation and transporting objects to different systems. Perform Role Creation, Modification and full troubleshooting support for the users’ authorization failures in all SAP applications and resolving the Security issues and support in integration testing of Roles/Profiles. Perform OSS / SAP Service Marketplace: Searching notes & creating OSS messages for the respective queries to improve the Performance and software download. Maintain System Data, License Key & Maintenance Certificate, Developer & object registrations and connection maintenance. Perform SAP Database Administration – Space management, database reorganizations, design and implement backup and restore strategy, maintain database security, administer database performance, database problem determination and resolution. Perform SAP Licensing – Identify inactive user, user classification and prepare System Measurement result for SAP Global Audit team. Document SAP processes, procedures, and plans; including changes, upgrades, and new services. Work closely with the clients and business stakeholders to understand their pain points and requirements.Job Skills and Abilities:Familiar with SAP ECC and HANA environments. Good experience in SUSE Linux operating system. Good experience in BPC system configurations, upgrades/installations, performance tuning and migration activities. Expert in investigating and resolving issues related to system performance. Can document SAP processes, procedures, and plans; including changes, upgrades, and new services. Knowledge with SAP solution manager is a plus. Relevant SAP Certification would be a plus. Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in IT or any equivalent degree. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in SAP BASIS/ Net Weaver /ABAP Application Server monitoring and Administration.
