About the Role:As our upper primary Science teacher, you’ll guide students through deeper explorations of the natural world—developing their understanding of scientific concepts, systems, and inquiry. Using our clearly defined curriculum as your foundation, you’ll create engaging, hands-on learning experiences that encourage curiosity, experimentation, and critical thinking.You’ll transform your classroom into a space of discovery—where students become investigators, engineers, and problem-solvers, exploring real-world scientific challenges through experiments, projects, and collaborative learning. ???? Key Responsibilities:Deliver engaging, interactive Science lessons in English to students in Years 5–6.Use the school’s pre-set curriculum to plan, adapt, and implement meaningful units of study.Design and facilitate hands-on experiments and inquiry-based investigations.Encourage scientific thinking through questioning, observation, data collection, and analysis.Integrate technology, sustainability themes, and real-world applications into lessons.Assess and document student progress through practical work, projects, and assessments.Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning opportunities.Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.???? We’re Looking for Someone Who:Can inspire curiosity and enthusiasm for science in older primary students.Is confident leading experiments and managing an active classroom environment.Has experience with inquiry-based and project-based learning.Is fluent in English with strong communication and classroom management skills.Understands the developmental needs of 9–11-year-olds.Is creative, adaptable, and student-centered.Values teamwork and continuous professional growth.???? Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, or related field.Teaching experience in upper primary (preferred).Familiarity with inquiry-based learning approaches (desirable).
