This role is responsible for leading the architectural fit-out design for commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects, ensuring that interiors meet functional, aesthetic, safety, and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day tasks include developing detailed fit-out design packages, coordinating layouts and finishes, preparing and reviewing CAD drawings, and aligning design solutions with mechanical and electrical systems. The engineer collaborates closely with architects, structural and MEP teams, contractors, and suppliers, providing technical guidance, resolving design issues, and supporting value engineering efforts. The role also involves reviewing shop drawings and material submittals, performing site visits to verify design implementation, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, building codes, and ECB quality standards.Qualifications Strong background in Design Engineering and Product Design, with proven experience in architectural fit-out projects.Proficiency in Mechanical Engineering principles relevant to HVAC, plumbing, and building services coordination within fit-out design.Knowledge of Electrical Engineering fundamentals to coordinate lighting, power, and low-current systems with interior layouts.Advanced skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and related design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM tools) for detailed drawings and documentation.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field.Significant experience (senior level) in architectural fit-out design, preferably within consultancy or engineering firms.Familiarity with local and international building codes, standards, and fit-out best practices.Strong coordination, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and quality.Ability to work on-site in Cairo, manage multiple projects, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
