The Senior Secondary Design Engineer is responsible for designing and reviewing protection, control, and automation systems for HV & EHV substations. This role ensures all secondary engineering deliverables are accurate, compliant with international standards, and aligned with project specifications and timelines.RESPONSIBILITIESDesign and develop secondary systems for HV/EHV substations (66kV – 500kV)Prepare and review key engineering drawings and documents (protection & control, wiring, SCADA, and panel layouts)Develop protection schemes and relay settings (distance, differential, overcurrent, etc.)Coordinate with primary, civil, and telecom teams to ensure integrated designReview vendor drawings and technical submissionsEnsure compliance with international standards and project requirementsSupport testing & commissioning activities, including troubleshootingAttend design review meetings with clients and consultantsProvide technical support during construction and project executionGuide and support junior engineersREQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering5–8 years of experience in HV/EHV substation secondary designSolid experience in protection & control systemsStrong knowledge of protection relays and schemes (Line, Transformer, Busbar protection)Experience with SCADA, RTU, and communication protocols (IEC 61850 is a strong plus)Familiarity with international standards (IEC / IEEE)Proficiency in engineering tools (AutoCAD, EPLAN, DIGSI, ETAP, or similar)Experience in relay configuration and settings
