Buyers must be able to find the right product, in the right category, at the right price. We are hiring a Catalog Specialist to own the structure, taxonomy, and accuracy of our product catalogWhat you'll do:The Catalog Specialist owns the category tree, taxonomy, and product classification within our catalog. You will define and maintain how products are organized, onboard and classify seller and distributor products, correct catalog errors, and steward the attributes that power product visibility and pricing. This is a hands on individual contributor role suited to someone with 2 - 4 years of catalog management, content, or product data classification experience in an e-commerce or marketplace environmentKey ResponsibilitTaxonomy & category structure: Maintain and evolve the category tree and node structure, ensuring it is logical, consistent, and aligned with how business buyers browse and procureProduct classification: Onboard and map seller and distributor products to the correct categories at scale, populating and proposing catalog content as new sellers are addedCatalog quality & error correction: Identify and correct catalog errors misclassified, duplicated, or mis-attributed products, and investigate catalog-related complaints through to resolutionAttribute management: Steward catalog attributes including product visibility and tiered-pricing attributes so products surface and price correctly across the storefrontNew category build out: Build and structure new category branches as the marketplace expands into additional verticals, choosing the most appropriate structure for eachSeller readiness: Coordinate with commercial and category teams to confirm catalog readiness before products go live.Documentation & reporting: Maintain documentation of the taxonomy and conventions, track classification work in the team’s issue tracking system, and report on catalog healthWhat you'll need:2 - 4 years of experience in catalog management, content/catalog operations, taxonomy, or product data classification.Demonstrated ability to structure and maintain category trees, taxonomies, and node hierarchies.Strong data discipline and attention to detail, with a track record of keeping large catalogs accurate and consistent.Comfort working with catalog/PIM systems, attribute management, issue-tracking tools, and Excel.Ability to work cross-functionally with commercial, seller operations, and engineering teams.Professional working proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage.Who will excel?Prior hands-on experience with a marketplace catalog, PIM, or content management platform.Familiarity with B2B commerce concepts such as tiered or quantity-based pricing, bulk products, and distributor catalogs.Experience importing or normalizing third-party (seller/distributor) product data into a structured catalog.
