Our projects span infrastructure, commercial, residential, and governmental sectors, backed by decades of technical expertise and innovation.Job PurposeTo manage project claims, variations, compensation events, and cost-related assessments across engineering consultancy projects, ensuring contractual compliance, accurate cost evaluation, and protection of the company's commercial interests while supporting successful project delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesReview, analyze, and manage project claims, variations, and compensation events in accordance with contract requirements.Assess the contractual and commercial implications of scope changes, delays, disruptions, and other claim-related matters.Prepare detailed cost impact assessments resulting from variations, claims, and project changes.Evaluate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost escalations and determine associated financial impacts.Calculate compensation entitlements arising from inflation, delays, changes in scope, and other contractual events.Support the preparation, negotiation, and resolution of claims with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.Monitor project costs against approved budgets and provide regular cost control reports.Review and validate cost estimates, budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses related to project changes.Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation for claims, variations, and compensation submissions.Coordinate with project managers, planners, quantity surveyors, and technical teams to gather data required for claims and cost evaluations.Assist in the assessment of extension of time (EOT) and associated cost claims where applicable.Identify commercial risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to mitigate financial exposure.Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company procedures, and industry best practices.Prepare commercial reports, claim summaries, and management presentations as required.Support dispute avoidance and resolution processes through accurate documentation and commercial analysis.Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related engineering discipline.Minimum 5–8 years of experience in claims management, cost control, contract administration, or commercial management within engineering consultancy or construction projects.Strong understanding of FIDIC contracts and standard forms of construction contracts.Experience in evaluating variations, compensation events, delay claims, and cost escalations.Knowledge of project cost control principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.Familiarity with extension of time (EOT) assessments and claim substantiation processes.Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.Excellent report writing and technical documentation abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cost analysis tools.Experience with Primavera P6 and project controls practices is an advantage.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Good command of English, both written and spoken.
