About The RoleAt Octane, Collections are at the core of maintaining healthy cash flow and strong client relationships. As a Collection Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring timely payments, minimizing outstanding balances, and supporting the financial stability of the business.This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, persistent, and comfortable handling client communications. You will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, following up on overdue payments, and resolving billing issues efficiently. By combining analytical thinking with strong communication skills, you will help optimize collection processes and improve overall financial performance.What You'll Be Doing Manage and monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices Follow up with customers via calls, emails, and other communication channels regarding overdue payments Negotiate payment plans and resolve billing discrepancies in a professional manner Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and customer interactions Analyze aging reports to identify high-risk accounts and prioritize collection efforts Collaborate with Finance, Sales, and Customer Support teams to resolve payment issues Prepare regular reports on collection status, KPIs, and recovery rates Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations Support continuous improvement of collection processes and workflowsKey Areas of Ownership Accounts Receivable Management Collections & Payment Recovery Client Communication & Dispute Resolution Reporting & Process OptimizationWhat We're Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field 3–4 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a similar role Strong negotiation and communication skills Good analytical skills with attention to detail Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally and effectively Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems or ERP tools Familiarity with CRM systems is a plus Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts High level of integrity and professionalismIf you’re excited to join a fast-growing company and want to play a key role in strengthening our financial operations, we’d love to hear from you.Send us your updated resume to hr@octane-tech.iowith the subject line "Collection Specialist – Alexandria".
