The QC Site Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all construction, installation, and site activities are executed in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, approved drawings, and applicable codes. The role involves conducting inspections, coordinating with project teams, monitoring site quality performance, and ensuring that all work meets client and regulatory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Control & InspectionMonitor and inspect site activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, method statements, and quality standards.Conduct inspections for civil, mechanical, structural, and finishing works as applicable to the project scope.Review and verify materials delivered to the site to ensure compliance with approved specifications.Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IRs) and Material Inspection Requests (MIRs).Coordinate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors during inspections and testing activities.Monitor construction activities and identify quality issues or non-conformities.Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented and properly documented.Verify that testing and inspection activities are carried out according to approved procedures.Site CoordinationCoordinate with construction teams to ensure work is completed according to quality requirements.Attend site meetings and provide updates on quality performance and issues.Support project teams in resolving technical and quality-related concerns.Liaise with consultants and client representatives regarding inspection activities and quality matters.QualificationsEducationBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.Steel Structure Background – MandatoryMinimum 5 years of experience in quality control inspection of steel structure fabrication and erection projects.Strong knowledge of structural steel standards, fabrication processes, welding inspections, and erection activities.Experience reviewing fabrication drawings, shop drawings, and steel structure specifications.Familiarity with international codes and standards such as AWS, AISC, ASTM, ISO, and BS Standards.Experience conducting inspections for:Structural steel fabricationFit-up inspectionsWelding inspectionsDimensional inspectionsBolt tightening and connection inspectionsSurface preparation and painting inspectionsAbility to coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and third-party inspectors.Experience in industrial, manufacturing, oil & gas, power plant, or heavy steel construction projects is highly preferred.
